Frequently Asked Questions
If your child is not meeting developmental milestones on time or is having trouble keeping up with peers, they may benefit from physical therapy. You can visit Pathways.org for more information on expected milestones or reach out by completing our contact form at the bottom of the page. We offer free 15-minute phone consultations and can help determine if a physical therapy evaluation is necessary.
A referral is not required for treatment. However, coordination with your child’s provider is recommended to optimize care. Please note that some insurance companies require a referral for reimbursement.
As an out-of-network private pay provider, Playtime PT does not contract with insurance companies. This means we are able to enter into a contract with our clients, allowing us to place our full attention on prioritizing and personalizing your care without restrictions or regulations posed by insurance companies. We will provide an itemized superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We cannot guarantee reimbursement and recommend calling your insurance company prior to scheduling so you know your reimbursement rate for out-of-network physical therapy to avoid unexpected costs.
We recommend reaching out to your insurance company and asking them directly, as different plans may have different requirements.
This depends on your specific plan. Some health insurance plans only cover care in-network, while others cover both in-network and out-of-network care at variable rates. Playtime PT cannot guarantee reimbursement and we encourage you to contact your insurance carrier for more information specific to your plan.
When you receive an email from your physical therapist requesting information via SimplePractice, you will be sent a sign-in link to your child’s Client Portal. These one-time sign-in links expire after 24 hours for your protection and to reduce the need for another password. If your link has expired, you will be prompted to request a new sign-in link to access your Client Portal.
Please contact us using the contact form and someone will reach out to you to discuss your child’s needs. We look forward to working with you!
